CNS Adverse Effects of Medications

A wide range of medications are known to have
both desired and adverse effects on the central nervous system.
Cognitive Engineering, LLC has developed advanced imaging
techniques which can be used to detect a variety of mood
effects, including depression and anxiety (see publications
page). Our facilities are in a unique position to determine
whether the medication in question is causing CNS effects as a
monitor for pre-clinical development of drugs, or for
investigating potential adverse effects of drugs.
We are adapting the use of fMRI to detect and monitor medication-induced suicidal and homicidal ideation, and changes in drug seeking behavior. |
